Steve Stevens Platinum Collection

When you think ‘quintessential rock tone’, packed to the rafters with one-of-a-kind character, and a mainstay on some of the world’s all-time best selling records, one player stands apart. Steve Stevens.

Considered one of the most original axe-smiths to emerge from the ’80s rock scene, and long time collaborator with Billy Idol (a co-writer of such greats including “Rebel Yell”, “Eyes Without A Face” and “Flesh for Fantasy”), Steve has cemented himself as a veritable pillar at the leading edge of pristine guitar sonics.

Devising Steve’s inaugural DynIR release demanded a special-recipe deserving of this icon in the modern world of guitar-driven virtuosity. First, the venue: San Fernando Valley’s illusive state-of-the-art recording space, Studio 606. Next, the console: the legendary Neve 8028 recording console from Sound City. Then, the all-important cabinets: five hand-picked 4×12’s from Steve’s personal collection. The iconic Scumback® Purple Raygun cabinet? It’s here! V30-loaded 1971 Marshall® Basketweave 4×12 cab (complete with Jim Marshall’s hand-drawn signature)? We captured it! What about the V30-equipped 1980’s Marshall® 4×12 cab that graced the seminal Top Gun Anthem, Michael Jackson’s Dirty Dianna and lest we forget, Steve Vai’s ‘Eat ‘Em and Smile’ sonics? How could we not include it!

This is the Steve Stevens Platinum Collection, an exquisite collection of 5 hard-to-come-by and “certified classic” cabs that guarantee to take your tone to double-platinum status.
