Supro® Vintage Comet 1×10 Origin

TRY IT

The Supro® Vintage Comet 1×10 Origin is an official DynIR from Supro®, captured from – and inspired by – an old-school 1×10 Comet (AKA the ‘Chicago 51’) semi-open-back combo outfitted with an original un-branded AlNiCo driver.

Supro® is one of the original rock & roll music brands. First manufactured in Chicago from 1935 to 1968, Supro® amplifiers and guitars are featured on landmark recordings by iconic artists such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. Revived in 2014, Supro® now offers a curated range of vintage-inspired tube amps and analog pedals that capture the legendary Supro® sound.

There’s times when your performance demands robust mids, loose lows and a crystalline top end. For those times, only an AlNiCo driver cuts the mustard. Pushing musical dynamic compression and the pinnacle in top-end shimmer, the well-worn 10” unbranded speaker in this Comet capture has to be heard to be believed. Pack this in a vintage 1957 1×10 Comet semi-open-back enclosure and brace yourself for grade-A tuned cab resonance, an expansive low- end and a focussed dispersion that complements the companion driver to perfection.

Available individually or as part of the “Supro® Vintage Collection”, the Supro® Vintage Comet 1×10 Origin has been exquisitely captured at The Hit Factory using studio-grade mics and recording peripherals to deliver seamless adaptation from the studio to the stage.

DynIR Capture made by Supro from a Supro® Comet (vintage) Guitar cabinet.
The capture was made on a 1x10 Open-back cabinet loaded with Valco Unknown speakers.
