The Torpedo PI-FREE is based on our flagship plug-in, the PI-101 WOS, but only features 1 model of power amp simulation (EL34 / AB class), 1 speaker cab (based on a Marshall 4×12) and 1 type of microphone (based on a Shure SM57) — you still have the full Post-FX section. And best of all, it is FREE!
Of course, the PI-FREE plugin features the unique Torpedo algorithm, originally carried by our critically acclaimed Torpedo VB-101 unit, that allows you to virtually move the microphone in front of the speaker cabinet (as you would in a real recording room) and to simulate the sound of a hard driven speaker.
The Torpedo PI-FREE plugin is FREE, does not require an iLok key, and is not limited in time.

The Torpedo VM-202 simulates 2 different miking setups (PA/Cab/Mic) simultaneously.
The Torpedo VB-101 now also does so (version 2 of the firmware): this is its new Dual Miking feature (see pic opposite).
The PI-101 WOS allows you to add up to 100 simulations in one instance.
The Torpedo Live and C.A.B. can simulate one miking setup (PA/Cab/Mic) at a time.
The PI-FREE is a limited version of the PI-101 plug-in. All of the plug-in’s functionalities are variously available in its paying versions, which you can compare here.
