« The Torpedo Live was the missing link in my setup. It’s a no brainer if you have tube amps and want to practise at home levels and record at high quality without having to operate a complex studio setup. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s probably the best piece of gear I ever purchased. »
Born in 1971, Christoph started to play guitar at the age of 16. He played in the progressive rock formation Stoned in the south of Germany, where they played mainly rock covers and some original songs, until the band broke apart in 1992. After that there was a period of getting more into electronic music, when Apple computers became more affordable in the mid 90s. He had used synthesizers and samplers and became familiar with midi programming and sequencing. Mid to late 90s he did a few gigs with the Trip-Hop Band Lo-Pole.
In the early 2000s he got back into guitar playing and started to collect guitars and amps. Living in Brussels he was part of the rock cover group The Gutbusters and soon he also played guitar in Free Launch, where he played a lot of festivals in the Belgian rock and metal scene from 2008-2010. Since he moved back to Germany in 2011, he is now playing guitar in Mrs. Kite, a ProgRock band in the Cologne area, which won the German Rock & Pop Price 2013 for « Best Progressive Band ». The current album of Mrs. Kite, A Closer Inspection, is available through their website, www.mrskite.de.
Christoph’s passion is with guitar tones and gear, he has a fine little collection amongst which are amplifiers from Friedman, Marshall and Cornford, as well as guitars from Tyler, LSL and PRS.
